Use your 4 man Special Projects Team to raise train and sustain fifth column local forces to overthrow the current regeim. Operate in direct actions against government strong holds and secure local areas to finance your activities. This is a deniable operation.

Your team are highly trained operators 1. Scout, 2. Commander, 3. Support, 4. Method of Entry.
You may start with either 1 or all 4 operators.
Any money you save initially you can spend at Drassen Airport once you find your Waldo (your Local Support Element - LSE).

Arulco military are basically poorly armed militia are generally melee based - Early on. There is just more of them and they get tougher.

Game play Tips:

1. Grenades are your best friend - send them into rooms before your operators
2. always sneak outside with long range weapons
3. always run inside with SMGs or shotguns
4. don't assume the enemy is weak
5. always use a cover man
6. pick appropriate weapons for your operators ie. SMG for SMG expert
7. Use sniper overwatch whenever you can
8. know where cover is and use it!
9. carry only what you need - not what you might use
10. Speed Aggression Suprise

Version 2.0 coming soon.

Totally reworked weapons to balance them and allow operators to agonize on the merrits of sniping, CQB or somewhere in between.

Weapons also reflect a special operations philosophies of:
- the right tool for the right job, and
- compact, accurate and overwhelming firepower

Arulco enemy are different and are well financed and equipped.

** NOTE - I have not put in any text changes - if somone would like to assist that would be great

I am trying to change the text for all the weapons and gear but I just can't get it to recompile. Have found if you open the config and interface files in notepad then cut and paste into microsoft word that it puts it all into an easy to read format with a few more options for replacement of text. Copy and paste all the text back into the notepad file and save.

The reason I suspect that the file won't recompile in ctx magic is something to do with the spacing syntax (spaces, hard returns, tabs etc). Maybe also these items at the end of the interface/equipment.ctx file.

last_item_id: 20048
num_items: 1209
num_languages: 5

Any assistance would be greatly apprieciated

Assuming you use quote to declare start and end of text, the above line seems to have 3 quotes, try changing the It's to It is and see if that works.
No idea if that's the cause though, since I haven't had any experience with JA:BiA

Having some success now.

I seem to be able to change whatever text to what I want, however. Apparently it seems that if you inadvertently delete or mess with the square brackets "[, ]", even if you replace it immediately, then it cracks a hissy and won't recompile.

Must make sure if you use a word with a ' in it (such as it's) it has to be spelled it''s

Some lines have to have ' at either end. some don't

' come in pairs, you can't have one ' by itself. so if you start a line with it, you have to end with one.

I can't write more than one line of text as every time I have a hard return new line it won't recompile.

you just have do one line at a time and check to see if it compiles each time

I can't insert a new line. I'm trying to insert 91,92 and 93 for weapon attachments with not joy. Doesn't seem to matter what I do with them. The compiler definitely doesn't like a hard return anywhere which makes it difficult to start a new line.

Some lines require to be encased in '
It's usually the lines with special characters. I always encase my lines in ' to be on the safe side.
ONLY IF the line is encased in ' and you have a word with a ' in it you'll need to use a double '' instead.
You can add new lines but I advise you to use a text editor in which you can see invisible characters, like tabs and spaces and mind the syntax of the original lines (hint: tabs are NOT tolerated, so if you want to add new lines, disable auto indentation and do NOT use tabs to line up text, use only spaces).

Keeping what I said in mind and reading the info on sbobovyc's wiki for the tools should allow you to play freely with the ctx files. I can confirm that it works.

Thanks TehGlitch

I have worked out through trial and error what you have said there. It seems you don't need to put any hard returns or anything. Just type the sentence and keep going on the same line. When you compile it and then "un-compile" it, it will be the way it should (did that even make sense?)
