World Creator v2.5++

Looks interesting, plus makes Isometric Assets easier that hand painting it using Photoshop, GIMP, or MSPaint.

Apparently, they had a freeware version years ago, World Creator v1.5++, but it is no longer available at their site.

Tell me what you guys think!

If nothing else the screenshots could always be resized and re-used, though you'll lose a fair amount of fidelity in the images going by the resolution they are using.

New Queen's palace, anyone?

I'm sure some of the animated characters would garner some interest if they managed to provide more extensive animation sets.

The real question is can it accept the color palettes and tilesets that JA uses so that what you build with it is usable?
otherwise it will make nice pictures that will have to be translated back into those which can be a pain.

With that hat it reminds me of Enrico in the opening intro to JA2.

I'm sure if the final artwork is rendered like any other 3D package it's just a case of creating your own palette and converting it to a usable .Sti.

If you go to all the trouble of making vertex meshes for that you may as well just port the game to OpenGL and be done with it.

Not if you have access to a library of meshes already, which is pretty much the way Sir Tech did it, first time around.
