I've recently been encountering a very strange, and terribly inconvenient bug where in the initial phase before Turn based mode begins at night time, the enemy seems to have day time sight range, and thus spot my mercs from a far greater distance than they should. In Drassen, a yellow shirt spotted me and shot at me from 25 tiles distance. Now, I could be wrong, but I think a Night Ops expert wearing UV goggles wouldn't be able to obtain that kind of sight range, and I would be very, very surprised that even if that were the case, a yellow shirt should NOT be equipped with UV goggles that early in the campaign. This has lead to certain situations where I'm immediately getting shot upon entering the sector. Now, it seems to be a more common occurence in urban sectors, and as previously stated, once turn based mode has started, from that point on, enemy sight range appears to be normal.
It's a minor inconvenience at best, and a disaster waiting to happen at worst, because when you start throwing elites and tanks into the mix, then the enemy gains a ridiculous, if only momentary advantage. It throws my stealthiness out the window, and I'm forced to begin the engagement far earlier than planned.
This has been occuring on Vanilla version 1.12 but only recently, I reinstalled the game a couple of times, and I even started playing on straciatella to see if the situation would be rectified but, no such luck.
Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix?
