logical body types crash 1.13 GOG version

i recently installed 1.13 r8918 on top of fresh GOG JA2. The game started perfectly with normal setting, but when i try to launch it with vanilla ini the game crashed.

Where can I turn on NCTH system?

Hello everybody, I am new here.
I have discovered this incredible game (Ja2) only two weeks ago and probably have about a thousand questions. But I will not bother you with them. Just one problem that I simply cannot find a solution for:
I started my first run of Ja2 with v.1.13 7435. You have to start the game through the INI Editor there. you get to a screen with many options for the game (difficulty, CTH/NCTH, Food system and many more).
I played with NCTH. After finishing the game; I started to read a lot about new improvements and modifications made by the people here. So I thought I will try to play the "latest" version.
After lots of trial and error (I am older,very bad with computers in general and my english is also rather basic), I finally managed to download a SCI with the version JA2_r8917 from December 2020.
I put it in the correct folder, managed the Windows fix and after turning off the intro movie through the INI Editor I was actually able to play (was the same in my old version - I get sound but no picture if the video is enabled).
At my first encounter with an enemy, I saw a very basic greenish targeting cursor with a bar. I think this must be the old chance to hit system (I also compared it to my old version with OCTH enabled).
But in the startscreen of this latest version, I dont get a toggle for OCTH/NCTH.
So I tried to go through all the options of the INI Editor and also through the INI files manually to see how to turn on NCTH. I simply cannot find it.
Does this mean that newer versions of the game (after 7609) are not playable with NCTH, or am I simply too stupid to find it? Probably the latter...
I would really appreciate your help.

Hotkey status

Usually I use this list as a reference for hotkeys but it seems that hotkeys have partially changed between the former stable 7609 and the current release 8918.
Can anybody point me to an updated list for all current hotkeys?
I also didn't quite figure out what the following section about option menu items describes.
Does it talk about the regular ingame options screen because none of the listed hotkeys work there?
What is the hotkey "Autosave" supposed to mean?

New hires going to L15 not A9
New Hire arrival location; Fri, 08 January 2021 14:12
Revisiting this game after a long break! Running the newest version, and part way through my game the arrival destination for hires is now set at L15 Forest, an area below a city I do not control. Is this an inadvertant setting of mine, bug or correctable in some way?

Graphical enhancement new features

Since I don't know too much about programming but do know some about graphic design, I'd like to try myself on adjusting some of the features Flugente has added over the years to a design more fitting the original.
I'd like to start with the background of the improved trade menu which has great functionality but looks a little bit out of place.
Can anybody let me know which files (e.g. STIs) I have to rework for that specific menu?

Changelog 8918 vs. 7609

I'm currently torn back and forth between playing the "latest stable release" 7609 and the latest release 8918.
I do like most of the changes and additions (props to the creators) but for me some are just too much over the top in terms of micromanagement (e.g. individual militia etc.) or visually not well implemented (e.g. improved trade menu etc.).
Since clicking through all of Flugente's different posts didn't get me there: is there any place with a summarized list, which release applied which change or introduced which feature?

Attitude effects
Advantages & disadvantages of available attitudes; Wed, 06 January 2021 21:56
The new skill traits include the character traits which clearly show their advantages and disadvantages when hovering over them in the according laptop view.
With the old skill traits chosen, there are various attitudes instead of character traits but this time hovering doesn't display the advantages nor the disadvantages.
Does anybody know or have a list what each of these attitudes exactly do?

Asking help for modding walk behaviour...

If this is not in correct section, please let me know. This is the first time I'm ever using a online community.
So first of all, I played this game for like 20 years. (I was born with this game, in 1994. I still have the original CD)
And in 2013, I discovered 1.13 version and patched my game.
Since then, I never updated it and have been so satisfied
(Basically it means I'm used to play semi-vanilla version)
Recently I downloaded JA2 in Steam and patched latest 1.13 mod. I had to.
I lost seven year old modded JA2 folder due to the personal server breakdown.
My mind is blown (there is SO MUCH new options and stuff! Jejus) after the installation and spent an hours just setting INI in my taste.
But one thing bothers me and I don't know how to fix.
When my boys (and girls) moves in real time mode, it's fine.
But when it's in turn based mode (like invading in Omerta) my soldiers stays in moving motion when they moved as if they were interrupted. (I added image)
In vanilla and old 1.13 version, the animation goes back to standby after they move. The newest version doesn't.
It bothers me (dunno why) and I manually make them standby by pressing escape every time.
I dug in INI editor for half of an hour and couldn't find the setting for this.
Is this a bug? or just me missing the option?
Please let me know how to do.
BTW I am so grateful for people who've been making this mod.
One day, after I get enough wealth, I will gather and join a dev team and make JA2 remastered version.
(Better graphics, improved AI, maybe immersive epilogue and so on)
If I can, also make a mobile version (so that I could liberate Arulco in my toilet)
Cloud-synchronised save would be nice. Hmm.
So much ideas but after gathering a fortune. It's not gonnabe a business, probably starts as my weekend project and ends with gigantic github repository.

New things you learn (rehiring Biff)

So I started a new game. Tried to hire Meltdown but she wouldn't go for it bc I had Biff on my team. So I figured heh I'll just terminate Biff, hire Meltdown, then rehire Biff. When I go back to the Merc page to rehire Biff, Speck informs me that Biff is unavailable due to him now writing a book on "manners" on the combat field. Is this a normal thing is Biff no longer available after you terminate him?
