Hello,

I'm trying to make a scenario with the scenario editor, a mission where the goal is kill everyone.

I'm totally lost, i do not know what to do, since there is no help on the Internet for this editor
(and believe me I searched on many website in vain...)

When i want save my scenario i get these error messages:

1- " this mission needs either CLUSTERS or MERCS assigned! "

2- "Without mercs asigned, this scenario, is suitable only for computer-geneated missions ".

So my questions are:

What they call " Cluster " ? how use it ? and how assign a Merc ?

If someone is kind enough to answer me in detail, or has a tutorial I would be very Recognizing because I'm sick of being stuck.

I Thank You in advance.

You have to set the starting positions of your 8 possible mercs on the map.

Thanks for the reply,

I have another question: what use is precisely the white rectangles (I think their name is "clusters" ) I mean, when I edit a scenario there is one for each enemy and I don't able to understand their true purpose.

If someone can explain their use, thank you in advance.

Group starting locations

The last eight boxes of the person placement palette contains group starting positions.
Group staring positions are used only in computer generated missions.
(to create a computer a computer generated mission, select "no mission" as the mission goal.)
The computer will randomly select one of these group starting positions at the beginning of the mission and place the player's mercs there.
You must place at least as many group starting positions as there are players for the scenario to be valid.

Think this is what you are looking for?It is the rectangular box with eight dots in it.
Just wrote down the explenation from the manual there.
And you can also try and open an existing solo mission that came with the game and open it in the scenario-editor and just have a look around on how it is build.

Cheerio

Yes I already bought DG on GOG few months ago but they do not provide the manual for this version. : (

I do not intend to create a campaign and in any case it is impossible for me to create one, because I had to try their editor and it is so strange. (without the instructions it does not help)

@Freakin' I have answered your PM. ; )

Apologies, that is what I get for speed reading, missed the fact that you were looking for the manual.
Feel free to ignore me :/

This is an old thread, but I couldn't help but respond. I like this game a lot and I recently purchased the manual off of Ebay. I scanned in every page and have it in PDF format. Some pages came out a little blurry, but are legible.

PM me if you'd like a copy. Thanks!
