Hi.

I have a problem with ini editor. Everytime i try to run it - it just crashes, without any special message or something. Just standard windows message.

I am trying to run the latest unstable version of 1.13 (downloaded from here http://kermi.pp.fi/JA_2/v1.13_Releases/Unofficial/English/Depri/SCI_113/) with AR 1.4 following this instruction:

http://www.bears-pit.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/314623/1_13_Stock_Data_Overhaul.html#Post314623

My system is a Windows 7 Ultimate x64. System is updated regularly.
Net framework 4.0 is installed. Everything in the folder is working, except that ini editor. Can't play without it...

Any idea? Sad

Try installing .NET 3.5 SP1 since .NET 4 does not cover .NET 2.0 requirements.

Alternatively, edit the inis with notepad.

Sorry, i forgot to mention - net framework 3.5.1 is installed too. It comes together with Windows 7.

I just figured it could be bad windows update of net framework, because i got an other program which needs net framework and similiar problem with it.
It says: Fault Module Name: mscorwks.dll too.
Hmm. Weird, never happened before.

You sure it comes pre-installed with Win7? If yes, try the .NET repair tool.

Aw, it didn't help. :/
And i can't even reinstall .net 3.5.1... It just doesn't work.
I will need to do a fresh install of windows then...
Maybe it will help. I'll post here if it worked, maybe someone will search for such a solution in the future. I am almost sure it is a .net problem.

Thank you very much for your help anyway.

I appreciate all work done on this forum for one of the best old-school games ever.

I'll be back!

i'd really look at the msdn/tech net site for .net there is a diagnostic tool that might point out your issue and save you the reinstall.

Problem solved.
It was corrupted windows update fault (problem with net framework 3.5.1).
I tried few repair tools for net framework - no one helped.
Fresh install of the system did the job, everything works fine now.

Thanks for your fast responses!

Thread can be closed now.
