ShataraTyping a new ID number in the box and then pressing enter key changes the number without checking if there is already something on that number, and breaks the former item if there is.
Normally it does not, I used the XML-Editor in this capacity on Monday on 4 items that were duplicated and then shifted.
Only one made problems.
Of course, I always swap my new items with 'Nothing'-items, and then delete the 'Nothing'-item when it appears at the end of the list, so I would not know whether it is broken (can you even /break/ a 'Nothing'-item?).
I already alerted Mugsy to the fact that the swapping works less than perfect, including that unhandled exception
EDIT: Leaving the swapped item in place, saving and exiting the editor, then restarting and /only then/ deleting the item circumvents the exception error.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it is annoying that the editor likes to reduce all the columns to just a few pixels wide when I close a dialog box.
Is there any function to expand them that's easier than resizing every column by hand?

Starwalker, Have you added in the the appropriate names in the look up files?
Because I have created several new pocket types using the currently avaliable XML Editor packed with the stable V1.13 2085 release, and I have had no problems at all!
I've made a new Large Medical bag, Large Toolbag, Mortar bomb pocket, and a Scope Pocket, all compleat with new silhouettes, and I've added these pockets to new LBG, or modified the incompleate medical LBG, and have been sucessfully using the new & modified items in my current game.
All the editing work, apart from adding in new pocket names, silhouette names, and creating and adding the silhouettes to the STI file, was done using the XML editor.

I just spent the last two days setting up a new game, 1.12gold, SVN, some of azael's, fun maps, Then I clicked on the xml editor and changed some loadouts. game runs just fine on OLD INVENTORY but fails on new inventory. 36 hours shot to hell. Hey folks I'm a stuped NOOOB! I am trying to learn by using the tools provided but please stop releasing unproven buggy unusable undocumented "tools".
on a personal note, thank you for at least giving us players a choice of using old or new (crap) inventory.
I fixed it. just delete the whole table tata and reload from svn. good as new minus 36 hours of customizing. maybe i'll try again next year.

Thank you for being the voice of reason. If I could describe the problem i could probably find a workaround. All I know is the game ran fine on old inventory but ctd when I attempted to hire anyone playing new inventory. If they put tools out for people to use they could at least put out a notice explaining which parts have problems so idiots like me could avoid those areas. thanks for your concern.

Brand new svn install wf6.06 played until day 4 with only minor glitches can't make one simple change without reprogramming the whole f*kin computer!

Well now you can have your big laugh, i just spent two hours trying to follow your instructions, 560 pages line by line in one file alone, all out of order with no coherent formula to help identify which is which. It's all Greek to me. I will try to email the files to you if it will help but i believe if it's a bad program many other people will soon be complaining and will be able to implement a fix. otherwise i am going to treat this as a bad install and erase and reload all suspect files. thanks anyway.
