I had my mercs stationed in the Drassen Airport, healing up for the next battle, and it said my mercs were losing health working in the Airport. I have HAM 3.6 and the latest SVN of 1.13, as of yesterday. Does HAM 3.6 have some sort of health loss for staying in a sector too long, to try and discourage camping in a sector and training?

Was your merc resting in a facility?

Nope, is there now an actual downside to sleeping in dirt?

If you were making use of one the HAM 3.6 facilities, ie. "working" in one of the facilities, the facility may have several types of random temporary damage, and permanent stats loss. With the benefits that the facilities provide, there are also risks.

Many find the stock facility settings to be somewhat harsh, but you are free to change them if you wish.

It's an intentional feature of the airport in the HAM settings package (the one with facilities.xml). You can see it here (spoilered for size):

Toggle Spoiler

The key point is in that last part, the "AMBIENT" assignment that has a 2(percent?) chance for -1 health loss. That means that just by staying in a sector with a small airport (currently just Drassen B-13) there will be a chance of health loss just by hanging out around jet fumes. There is a similar effect for the commercial harbour facility, and other facilities have their own effects just for staying near them (prisons have a chance of causing morale loss). If you want to remove it, just delete the ambient section.

I noticed it while hanging around at the Airfield too.

I also searched forthe functions of those facilities.

What profit will they bring you?

Another odd thing Smile

Villager complained about Hamous while resting in the Small Sleazy Bar or Residential Homes(Drasses Mine D13).
He wasn't drunk at the moment Smile

Where can i find more information about facilities a those functions/profits ?

1) ??? - sounds very strange as villagers do not have etds (aka subtitels) to complaign about hamous
2) there's a ham-wiki (linked in headrock's ham-threads)

as the searchenginge/google and you seam to be sworn enemies: http://ja2v113ham.wikia.com/wiki/Jagged_Alliance_1.13_HAM_Wiki

It's a note in the Strategical Screen that the locals become upset by a merc's behaviour if he is set to "rest" in "Small Bar".

oops - never had someone sitting in the bar (and paying for doing just that) - there are several fax that make (to me) no sense at all, the 'small sleezy bar' is one of them

I sometimes use them (also barracks etc) when having more than two mercs assigned on training militia in a system of rotation; or similar situations like having three good mechanics in a sector but only one toolkit: Those that need a rest are parked in that kind of facilities so that I get a notification and the game stops when they wake up again.

Alternativly I use "Practice" instead, even though they won't learn when sleeping, but I don't do so when having mercs that are realy practicing at the same time. Otherwise it can become confusing when having a large team split over several sectors.

I no longer use the Small Bar though after the above happened and the loyaltly in said town dropped to below 20% because of it, stopping all militia training there until I was able to search myself a worthy fight nearby to get it back to above 20%.

Do not people get better rest if they rest? Drinking alcohol while engulfed with chemical laced tobacco smoke and staying up late is the opposite of rest to me.
