Okay, I had an IMP with knifing skill. He tried to hit someone with the knife. I got damage in the teens. I thought, "No way, must be a fluke." I tried again - 10 damage.

Okay, does anyone even use the boxcutter? it takes too little damage for a quick kill, even if the enemy is prone and unconscious. At that point you might as well use your fists. The only use I can see for it is if you ABSOLUTELY need to cut off an enemy's head for some reason and you just don't have anything with a blade.

Tat's just my opinion...does anyone use the boxcutter?

Nah, it sucks.
:animread:
Low damage.
There's the Combat Knife.

What I would have really hoped is to have a second knife in UC. Aye, there's the machete, but it takes too much AP for my needs. A knife like Ka-Bar would have been nice! Lower the AP cost just a little, and increase the damage by, say, one point.
:axe:

It must really suck. If there's anyone keen on sharp things it's Wudu.

Yes. They were great. Thanks. You have a lot more guts than I do to try some of the stuff you did, but you pulled it off. I mean that in terms of both gameplay and producing the movies.

The boxcutter, I first arrived on the airfield the war waged on.
In a desperate search of a weapon of any kind, I found the box cutter, went to cut the first enemy, It BROKE! Damn piece of crap, It never did what it was supposed to do.
So I almost lost a Merc there.

I used Weapon Edit to speed it to 4 Ap's. This way you can stab more times in a round than other knives, and might be better than using fists. You would still prefer a combat knife, or even brass knucks if you had a choice.
The other useless weapon is the shovel, so I increased it's damage to 25 & reduced AP's to 7. It's still nowhere near as good as the crowbar though.
