Where is the robot? Is it still random(ish) like in JA2? Does it require a trigger of some type to appear on the map (like when Dedrianna had to mention something about her best scientist missing)?

 It's a good surpression weapon (the robot armed with a MG) while your mercs advance in my opinion.
