Install hints or gameplay hints? Install stuff; there is enough about how on the specific SoG threads. Gameplay... err fight for your life & recruit Spooky & Sarge as soon as you can! Complete the quests as they have very good rewards. Use a lot of grenades; the vietkong's petrol bombs are quite unstable so you can get some spectacular chain reactions now and then. NJOI.

Ok, I'll send you a zipped file next week, and try to include a few screen shots. Bear in mind that there are no new quests or characters. It isn't that sophisticated. Just a bunch of new sectors to fight through before taking the missile base.

think it was halt , one merc placed inside a door and behind a crate , every time I opened the door she blasted my merc , resorted to placing explosive near door and took her out from distance when door blew and she was groggy Embarrassed

no, just that maps remain empty after conquest (no reinforcements) and if you had to refight em it would be frustrating ! :ok:

I'm roaming around map trying out new places and enjoying it so far

Oh you are a cruel map maker. Island I6 is impossible. I've cleared the surroundings but the last three guys in the building itself are chuffing invincible. I'm going to have to withdraw; heal up and try again. Now I understand why Lockie was worried about there being enough medical supplies. Medic! MEDIC! :blah:

In fact playing in UB again has made me want to make a quick campaign using the MFM tilesets, equipment and factionalised prof.dat just for a laugh and to get me back into modding in general. I thank you for firing up the old grey matter once again! :welder:

Island 16? Is that the name of the sector? Don't recall...

I'd like to try your UB-MFM campaign. Let us know as soon as it's ready (yeah, we know, it will be awhile).

Not enough medical kits? Hmm...thought I supplied plenty of everything.

I6 is island and yes it's hard ! done about 25 maps now , wandering around north east, had to hire 2 medics as mercs were well beat-up Wink). one question , encountered someone while travelling between sectors but cannot find them when I drop into map realtime ,also they seem to be tracking me or at least following my team around, bloody ghosts ehh ? are they quest related? , as this section wasnt on UB original maps, so what gives ???

No idea. Not something I did, at least not on purpose. I did eventually learn how to place NPC's...maybe it has something to do with that?

Sounds like a good idea, though...someone dogging your every step...wonder how that would work.

After healing I'm going to head to Varrez to fix the laptop and hire Tex, Manuel and Biggins koz I need more firepower; much much more firepower. No B-Rays in UB makes you more careful with what you can find though. Every shot must count.

ahhh , G 11's and vals , complemented with throw knives camouflage and night skills Very Happy

only problem I found is black shirts tend to stay facing the same way , allowing easy kills at night
also bunch up quite a lot (after silently finding em , hit em with mortars heh heh .....

EDIT : finally got to blockade #1 ,lost two mercs getting there , laid up for night recuperating .
