Problem with adding character[message #363269]

Fairly new to editing/modding, need some help: replaced a character with a new character found online...installed battleSNDS, speech, updated profile pic & bio....that all worked and new character is playable, but now when i enter the code at IMP it says maximum number have been created

Any ideas how to fix this would be greatly appreciated, sorry if this is posted in the wrong area..

In earlier releases there was a setting "MAX_IMP_CHARACTERS" in "Ja2_sp.ini" in the "UserProfile_JA2113" folder. Make sure it is set high enough to allow for more IMPs.

I am playing JA2_1.13 7609 version.
It will not let me add another IMP character; this is not AV or VENGEANCE or other mods.

In JA2_Options.ini there is no <MAX_imp_CHARACTERS> setting, though there is a reference TO IT in the [Recruitment Settings] section;

What is the <JA2_Options.ini> text?
Can I insert a setting, or does that crash the file?

Also, the game won't let me add more MERCs than 28 (with John and Mary). Does John count for five (5) being rotund?
I've checked the settings in the INI and <JA2_Options.ini> and they both say 32.

OK, my bad. Cleaned the glasses.

Found the setting for IMP characters.

I'm still looking for where [32] max. MERCs = 28 in real-time, or John Kulba is really 5 characters.
It won't let me hire more.
I don't know if it will let me add another IMP.
