My thought about this JA2:R is: most likely it will be a flop with only updated graphics, little selection of guns, attachments and equipment, 3 low-budget voice actors for all the AIM&MERC mercenaries, stupid AI, little configuration, thousand of stability patches after the game is released etc., wrapped in a shiny cardboard box worth 24.99 pounds with a big sticker "now in 3D!"...
As MikeThePro said, I also don't belive in "promising promises".
And in meantime, Headrock will release many new versions of HAM, the 1.13 mod team will add to the SVN trunk the uber combo STOMPAIMNASIoV, new CTH system, with redone maps size 2000x2000 grids AND Bio's new logical bodytypes. And we will be still playing the good old JA2 for another 11 years

Why not encourage them, rather than prematurely ejacul--- I mean, prematurely condemn the publishers/developers when the game (or even a demo for that matter) hasn't been released yet?
Hold the criticism for when there's something to criticize, yeesh...
In the meantime, the idea of letting bitComposer Games know what we'd like to have in Jagged Alliance 2: Reloaded might be the best way to go (checking out the information I can find on their websites, it seems they did quite a bit of research into the Jagged Alliance series), as they certainly already know about us.
My wishlist for Jagged Alliance 2: Reloaded is huge, but I can certainly narrow it down to some features I personally would need to see in the game before I even thought about buying a copy of Jagged Alliance 3 when it's released. Those are:
- Jagged Alliance 2
- Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business
- Cross-platform (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X)
- Multiplayer (Co-operative, deathmatch, etc.)
- Modular Modifications Toolset (Maps, Campaigns, Guns, Characters, etc.)
- Decent/Modern Visuals/Graphics
- Scalable (high) resolutions
In my humble opinion, nothing else is really needed because the mod-tools should allow the community to make the more subtle improvements they'd like to see on a per-mod basis (maybe even having a community gun-pack, or map-pack, etc. that anyone can add to their individual mod, or something of the sort).
