I'm sure I'm overlooking something incredibly obvious, but how do I get auto-mode to fire more than one round? When I select it, it always fires only one shot unless the merc accidentally fires too many shots.

= Equals Key : Selects all mercs in the current sector, regardless of squad, but only in real-time. (same for auto-bandage 'A')
-gabbi ALT-O deals a 100 damage to all enemies in sector, bugs can take more and will stay standing.
(I know, I'm practically begging for that wet-towel.)
Serious here, could the respective key-info be added to the various ingame help-screens: - (Welcome to your Laptop (press H to get help at any time)
- Welcome to Arulco (press H to get help at any time)
- Sector Inventory Screen (press H to get help at any time)
- The Tactical Screen (press H to get help at any time)
CTRL-GABBI- ALT-G (in tactical) adds a random merc on the roster, 14-days paid. (?random?, not really, but not selectable either)
- ALT-I (in tactical) adds a random gun on beneath your cursor.
- ALT-W (when viewing a large item-screen in tactical screen) scrolls trough the item-list in a progressive #-fashion.
-Put the item-you're going to view in the upper hand, or the game will 'create' an item in the upperhand: item #1. - ALT-B (tactical) adds an enemy soldier beneath your cursor
- ALT-C (tactical) adds a civilian beneath your cursor
- ALT-2 turns selected merc into a babybug-creature.
- ALT-4 puts selected merc in a wheelchair (no-character inventory, pretty useless.)
- ALT-5 turns selected merc into a bigbug-creature.(now we're talking)
What can I say, it takes one to know some.
I've missed out on some too, there should be keys for adding bloodcats and creatures as well.

In the INI it says something about SHIFT+F emptying all weapons on the ground in sector and removing attachments, but this doesn't seem to work. Is this a planned feature or something?
EDIT: NM I was just trying to use it in the inventory screen, it has to be done in Tactical mode and there is no notifiation.

COOL TRICK : Unlimited Inventory Transfer Between Sectors:
You need to have mercs in both sectors you are transferring to and from. First, open the sector inventory, and put the item you want to transfer in the sector inventory. Second, on the left hand side of the screen, it should be displaying the list of all mercs. Third, this is the important part, pick up the item from inventory screen and left click on a merc's destination, as if you are trying to move the merc (the merc has to be on duty in order to do that). The sector inventory screen on the right will disappear and enter the sector movement screen. Fourth, Right-click the mouse to exit the sector movement screen. And TADA! Just simply right-click on any merc's portrait you are transferring the item to, and put it on him. This feature is a little too complex for transferring large amount of items. But in the cases when you are short of a certain type of ammo, it could save you.
I could not get this to work. Im using v.1.13.911
Im trying to do the 3rd step: item is already in the sector inventory list, and I clicked on the merc's "Destination" (Plot Travel Route) and nothing happens - the sector invetory is still listed. I tried this with or without CTRL GABBI cheat..

Shift -f unloads, then, shift-f again removes attachments if you have the ja2_options.ini file flagged properly, If I remember correctly.
(edit)
the correct link to the new wiki hot-key list is:
http://ja2v113.pbwiki.com/ja2_and_1_13_hot_keys
I think that the info is fairly old, but still relatively accurate. (end edit)
